Goodbye 2022 and Hello 2023…

1244
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Ancient Celtic prayer.

The sun sets on 2022…

And rises on 2023…

How many of us feel like this after yet another tough year.

Although COVID numbers have decreased, but not vanished altogether, the ongoing load shedding crisis was enough to keep our stress levels at DEFCON 3.

Our Government cannot or will not do anything about this and time line to repair the damage at ESKOM run from weeks to decades, with neither being an accurate representation of when, or even if, the problem will ever be resolved.

If one of these feet  landed on yours as a result of me being insensitive, then I will own that and try not to do it again.

If I did step on your toes, I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

If I knowingly, or unknowingly did this, I apologize.

This look says it all… Enough with what we cannot change. Let us move forward and try to make the New Year one we can fall forward into.

Or perhaps this is how you want to sat goodbye to 2022?

It always amazes me that as the end of any given year arrives, how negative many of us are.

“It was the worst year ever”! we exclaim. “I hope that the New Year will be better”. But unless we change our mind-set and look for solutions and not problems, the end of the New Year will have the same comments…

CARPE-THE-HELL-OUT-OF-EVERY-DIEM.

Otherwise this is how #wethepeople will end up spending the year…

It is a crap job, but someone has to do it.

Time for the Blog to take a short break in order for me to be able to ignore deadlines and spent some time with family and friends throwing some wors on a braai.

Travel & Things will return on 09/01/2023…

Be safe and be kind.
