This female Nyala made her presence felt in the bush surrounding the camp.

Did you know that when youngsters are born their coats are identical?

As they grow, the males grow horns and their coats change to look similar to a grey raincoat.

This jackal pup was featured in an article that I wrote that appeared in the February edition of Skyways, the in-flight magazine of Airlink.

The article is on pages 32/33/34. Click on the image to access the digital copy:

It seems that this youngster believed that it was invisible as we almost drove past.

Once spotted, bad pun I know, it quickly vanished into the long grass very close to the lodge.

This Tawney Eagle was surveying the surrounding are for the possibility of a meal.

Or perhaps it was just sitting. I will never know the actual answer as it was sitting like this as we drove up, and it was still in this position when we left the sighting.

Bearing the scars that show how this particular male has to fight off contenders to his throne.

In the animal kingdom, particularly with predators, scars = experience.

The life of an elderly dominant lion is not an easy one, especially when multiple young males move into a territory looking to take it over.

The fights that ensue can be terrifying to experience and usually always end in the death of the aged male.

If you have never been close to a lioness, you will be astounded at how big they actually are!

Who has the right of way in this situation?

In this image that question has already been answered!

Just another day in paradise?

Almost without warning the landscape transforms into a vivid tapestry of colours.

From fiery oranges to deep purples, and soft pinks.

Enjoying a sundowner drink and snacks while standing next to the game viewer, you witness this natural masterpiece unfold in panoramic splendour.

Silhouetted trees stand as sentinels against the glowing sky, while the gentle rustle of grasses whispers tales of the day’s end.

The air is filled with a serene ambience, punctuated only by the distant calls of wildlife bidding farewell to the daylight.

Time seems to pause, allowing the captivating beauty of the sunset to immerse your senses fully.

Why not! Africa welcomes all visitors and will enable you to make memories that will last for a lifetime.
