A Sun Destination property I visited in 2024.

This was a return visit to see what renovations had been implemented since my previous visit.

The renovations are spectacular! ( https://travelandthings.co.za/2024/08/nthambo-tree-camp-a-return-visit/ )

However, it was the game viewing that got guests excited.

Morning has broken…

I felt that I was being looked down on.

Can you imagine describing a giraffe to someone who has never seen one?

That person would NEVER believe you.

Cuteness personified.

I do believe that hyena pups are special.

Pardon me, but do these tails make our butts look big?

Although there is a waterhole a short distance from the camp, the elephants here seem to prefer the fresh water from the swimming pool.

Although wearing a Springbok jersey, this guest was from the UK.

I was impressed that he sat quietly watching the elephants drinking.

Pumba?

According to Disney, yes

However, here we call them warthogs.

Are Zebra black with white stripes or white with black stripes?

FYI: All the fur grows from follicles that contain the pigment-generating melanocyte cells. Therefore, by implication, black is the default colour of the fur and that’s why experts believe that zebras are black with white stripes.

Snack time.

Another hyena pup popped out of their den.

Feline love…

Good night as the moon shines down on Africa.
