"In conversation with" has been broadcast since May 2020, and has been proving to be very popular with Travel & Things viewing audience. I get to chat to people from within the tourist industry as well as entertainers, writers and sundry interesting folk. It is a non COVID-19 space where we can be positive, share a hot beverage and hold entertaining conversations.

“In conversation with”... A new week, the middle of a new month and a new lockdown level! Almost unnoticed, South Africa is teetering on the brink of Advanced Level 3 and, for this week only, I have once again classified myself as a travelling travel writer. That being said, seeing that I am out in the at present, I pre-recorded all these chats with friends in both the travel and entertainment industries.

Conducting Zoom interviews, where I cannot hide behind the anonymity of a microphone, is a whole new experience for me. But the chats have been fun and it has allowed me to interact with humans (albeit in the digital space) again. The interviews featured in this posting are those that I recorded between the 15-19 June. All the videos and more can be viewed on my YouTube channel.

Roger and I chatted about wildlife photography and how to get that award-winning shot.

With Fathers Day not too far off, I spoke to Pierre about what is available for Dad to put on a wish list. However, as all the advertising will tell you, that is not all! All the products and brands are available for both men and women.

This is Part 1 of a 2 part chat that I had with a woman who decided to turn her life around. Unfortunately, we were cut off at the end of this chat, but Part 2, which will be broadcast on 18/06 picks up where this left off. For those women who decide to turn their lives around, you have to listen to Lala’s story. She is the epitome of the current buzzword “pivot”.

Our chat continued…How to change your life around completely. From LA to Africa. Lala shares some of her insights for women looking for a change.

Talking with Mark is like trying to put an octopus into a bucket. Just when you think that you have it under control a tentacle sneaks out and takes off in an unexpected direction. I so enjoyed our chat.
