My new travelling companion was intent on getting a
complete experience of his recent visit to
Madikwe Safari Lodge, part of the More Group of properties.
Being Batman, he chose the healthy breakfast option.
Even Batman needs a Spa treatment.
And he was certainly not dissapointed by the treatments offered.
After spending a couple of hours in the Spa,
a refreshing dip in the Lodge pool was a great way to work out.
The pool overlooks a waterhole that provided great game viewing.
Just part of the herds that came to drink at the waterhole.
They entertained both Batman and the other guests with their antics.
Wandering around the property,
admiring the indigenous artifacts on the walls.
This was what he discovered in the bar area.
Time to head out on a game drive.
The feather is from a Kori Bustard
and is meant to bring luck in game sightings.
Taking to the trees to look out for wildlife…
Was he successful?
He certainly was!
Every game drive has to have snacks.
And those supplied by Madikwe Safari Lodge were delicious.
Batman gets to interact with the other guests on the vehicle.
This family was from the USA.
After returning from a chilly evening drive,
some time in front of the fire was a necessity.
Or perhaps a warming beverage…or two.
Gin seems to be his preferred choice.
His only “party trick”…
being able to balance a plate on his head.
A far cry from being the real Super hero that he is.
Some delicious bread to snack on while
waiting for dinner.
After a tough day of eating and game drives,
the Caped Crusader heads off into the night.
Is he on a mission
or just going to bed?
