Tented Adventures, Pretoriuskop, Kruger National Park. Mpumalanga

2386
December/January in the Kruger Park can be very hot.
So be prepared with lots of water and sunscreen.
Of course all our tents have fans to keep the air as cool as possible
Plenty of time for afternoon naps before game drive.
The beds are extremely comfortable and guests are inclined
to make use of them when the weather dictates.
Too hot, too cold or too wet to sit outdoors
Even though guests are being accommodated in tents,
the small touches are not overlooked.
Considering that our guests have often forgotten a charger or two,
this socket outlet has come to the rescue on many occasions
Meals can be enjoyed indoors (the camp serves breakfast and dinner).
This are also serves as a lounge during the day.
Comfortable couches have been known to lull both guests and staff to sleep.
Good coffee is the order of the day!
There is no better way to prepare for the early morning game drive,
than with a freshly brewed “cuppa”.
Or after a meal either for that matter.
When meals are served outdoors, they become special memories…
Both breakfast and dinner can be served in this area, depending on the weather.
Although there is electricity in camp.
a meal by the light of paraffin lamps is intimate and
more conducive to our guests sharing their stories.
All the meals are prepared on a single gas grill!
And this is the quality that is produced by the staff on duty.
A recent guest who is a chef at a casino in Europe,
commented on the fact that he was in awe of the food produced here at the camp
Time to hit the sack…
Early to bed in the bush seems to be the order of the day.

Early morning (04h30) wake up calls will contribute to that.

*BREAKING NEWS*
Tented Adventures recently won a Lilizela Tourism award!
Well done to all concerned.

In order to get to Tented Adventures, I used this shuttle company.
The Johanneburg/Nelspruit/Hazyview route was only recently introduced.
It is already proving to be very popular with those who chose to use Ashtons.
The driver on the outbound leg was Hans Heilgendorff.
What an interesting career he has enjoyed.
We chatted for most of the 4hr 30 minute journey.
More importantly, the shuttle left on time.
I can highly recommend this service.

GammaTek is my powerbank supplier of choice.
One of my problems is often lack of battery power
if I have been using the camera on my phone.
I have tried many “powerbanks”,
but the majority drain before they can fully recharge my device.
This is where this Powerbank has the edge…
it can recharge my phone up to 7 times,
before it needs to be recharged.
