Our final night in Stone Town.
The sunsets here were truly breathtaking
and the dhows just added “something” extra.
Guests at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar can have meals either indoors…
or outdoors on the veranda that runs the entire length
of the sea facing facade of the hotel
Our shared starter…a grilled haloumi and falafel salad.
Mains for my wife…
a Kingfish curry served in a Tagine.
My mains…it was a hard decision as there was Lamb Shank on the menu.
I eventually “settled” for this Rib-eye steak with fries and a salad.
And a dessert that I had enjoyed on a previous visit in 2015…
Banana cheesecake with a toffee and peanut sauce.
Decadence on a plate, but well worth it!
If the dessert was not enough,
these were served with our coffee.
We did not want to go straight back to our room,
so we wandered around the hotel for a while.

We had eaten fruit all week long and were looking for
a little more protein.
And we found it at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar.
And, of course, breads and pastries.
I read somewhere that cheese is as addictive as certain drugs.
I have never done drugs, but I do “do” cheese.
There were Lamb Koftas on offer with the hot breakfast.
The omelette that I had was perfectly prepared.
And while we were enjoying our meal,
this fishing boat was returning with a catch that might well eventually
find its way to a plate here at this wonderful hotel.
