My hares visit Abu Dhabi.

3013

My hares recently visited Abu Dhabi,
and were an instant hit with all who met them.
Often travelers have a mascot, usually a teddy bear or a gnome.
I have hares…lovingly crafted by Carol Slab at “My Hares & Graces”.

Looking for some shade on a HOT Abu Dhabi beach.

Our guide at Ferrari World,
home to the FASTEST roller coaster ride
on the planet!

One of our hosts…
He popped in to greet us at Ferrari World.
Our media group had lunch at a most interesting restaurant
in the Yas Mall.
This was one of our waiters.

“En hy het met my Afrikaans gepraat”!
(And he spoke to me in Afrikaans)
This lifeguard at Yas Waterworld is from my
home town…Port Elizabeth.
There are several South Africans working at this theme park

“Now THIS is a bride for me”…
Kwandhare has “ditched” his wife to chat up this Russian tourist.

10h00 and they are drinking already?

At Yas Beach, my hares get up close and personal…
with not one…

but two of our guides!

They get to meet some of their UAE cousins…

As well as the owner of the stall.

Even a chef at the souk coffee shop wanted to meet them.

And they, of course, had to sample some of his cake.

They got to visit with one of the managers at the Emirates Palace Hotel.
And were taken on a tour of one of the HUGE suites.

From hotels and beaches, to culture,
they absorbed all that they saw…

Even security guards wanted to meet them!
Interestingly enough, no one has EVER said no to my request
to “Hold my hares, please”

The gondola “driver” at our hotel…
He wanted to meet them as well.

The rest of the media team take their turn…
