The food at Prana is complimented by the fine
crockery and cutlery…
even if you are dining in your room.
Unlike many botique properties,
at Prana there are three meals a day…
PLUS afternoon tea and cake!
My wife and I had arrived in time for lunch…
This was her choice:
Herbed potato Rosti topped with slithers if smoked salmon trout,
orgabic garden greens, cucumber ribbons
and topped with creme fraiche.
I on the other hand had this…
Oven roasted butternut served with toasted pumpkin seeds,
organic greens and grilled haloumi cheese.
Topped with a walnut praline drizzled with a honey and mustard dressing
Absolutely mouthwatering.
All set for afternoon tea…
Which I decided to give a miss,
as we had had lunch late.
It was pouring with rain,
so we decided to have dinner in our room.
Delicate Prawn and avocado salad with vegetable brunoise to start
Exotic mushroom and leek soup with biltong dust!
Pan grilled tender chicken breast fillets in a herb and Parmesan crust
And to finish…
Creme Brulee with an African twist…
Breakfast was always started with a fruit platter.
I could NOT resist.
French toast topped with crispy bacon, Brie cheese
and drizzled with organic honey.
YUM
My wife’s choice…
Creamy scrambled eggs topped with avo,
slithers of oak smoked salmon trout
and creme fraiche
We had no sooner finished breakfast
and we were asked what time we would like lunch!
Cajun fillet medallions served with rustic potato wedges,
drizzled with a cool cucumber and yogurt dressing.
