Our home for a couple of nights.
On the western side of Mauritius
Our accommodation.
It was sea facing and we enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony
My camera lens had fogged up because of the humidity.
It gave a “old-world” feeling to this image
I really liked this stair case.
This Hansel and Gretel house is home to the Sun Kids Club.
It offers a variety of supervised activities for younger guests
They cater for ages 2 to 11 years.
There is a “teen club” that will entertain guests from 12-17.
This is the South pool…
Also known as the “Quiet Pool”.
The Manor House…
Truly majestic
The main pool was very busy,
and this life guard had his work cut out making certain that everyone was safe
The Aura Spa.
A haven of peace and tranquility in an otherwise busy resort
One of the treatment steam rooms
Time for a drink at “Tides”…
And in the background, Jimmy Buffet and Alan Jackson…

A PROPER wood burning oven,
the ONLY way to make pizza.
Electric oven pizza is NOT the same.
A great view from the deck of Citronella’s restaurant.
And THIS is where you HAVE to go if you have eaten too much
Or you can hire a bike…
The ground staff are constantly at work…
Did I mention the possibility of getting hit by a falling coconut?
Bob Gibson and Shel Silverstein sing about this fact:

We discovered this dance troupe finishing up their performance on the beach
My wife, Carolyn, enjoying a glass of wine as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean
Good night from Mauritius.
More tomorrow as we go exploring…
