THIS is why our group was in Ireland.
Tom, one of the Chinese delegation, interviewing Ellen from Failte Ireland
and Will our tour guide.
Was there a celebrity in front of the lenses of the group?
Nope, just Helen demonstrating how to make Irish coffee.
The group took pictures of EVERYTHING…
Lunch at the Flying Boat Museum.
There was also soup, coffee and the ubiquitous Irish coffee
Will left us when we arrived back in Dublin.
So it was up to Ellen to keep a head count by herself
Our final destination…
The Hilton, Dublin
Lisa at the reception desk was extremely helpful
and rooms and Wi-Fi vouchers were dispensed in quick time
The seating area in the lobby
The “passage” decor was eclectic…
But the bedroom was very comfortable.
And the “usual” in the bathroom
In the downstairs pub.
The usual “suspects” lined up.
The hotel has a its own restaurant,
but we did not eat here.
We had dinner here instead.
We walked past this lock…
I liked the iron work balcony railing
This area was jam packed with pedestrian traffic
A look up the Liffie
You can pedal as a team
You can rent these and there are protected cycle lanes in town
The 20 minutes are free and after that, cyclists are charged a fixed fee.
I have to be up VERY early to catch my flight to Amsterdam
and then onward to Johannesburg.
I hope that all my flights are on time.
Tune into the brief interview I had on this station.
