Tralee and the South Pole Inn. Wild Atlantic Way.

969

Soft rain falling.

Time standing still…
From Tralee.

I did not know this…

It was such a windy day,
The NSRI had to go out to fetch this young fellow.
It was because of this weather we had to forego our boat ride

I want to buy this cottage.

Stone walls almost as far as the eye can see…

A view into Dingle…

It was REALLY windy at the top of the Connor Pass…

A bridge too far?

Tom Crean…

The Holy Trinity?

Eileen Percival, the current owner of this iconic pub

John, one of the locals at the South Pole Inn

I suppose that this “diving” mask is meant to represent the goggles
that Tom Creanwould have worn.
Just one of the items left at his family tomb

RIP Tom Crean and family.
A most interesting, and humble man.
A true explorer and pioneer

The road leading to the old grave yard.
Unfortunately, the graves are not well maintained.

My room at the Dingle Skellig Hotel & Peninsula Spa
Very comfortable…and with a view!

Right outside my bedroom window!
This hotel has offered me the best view of the trip so far.
In all the other hotels that I have stayed in,
my room has overlooked a car park

It has been a long, but rewarding day.
Good night from Dingle.
More to explore tomorrow…
