Hamiltons Tented Camp…a revisit

This was the dessert on offer when I arrived at the camp!
Even though the main meal was a  HEALTHY chicken salad,
this UNDID all the “healthy”, but well worthwhile
We stayed in this very tent in 2007 when my wife were here on our honeymoon.
And nothing about the property has changed.
And why should it…

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

THIS is a welcoming letter.
Unlike the form letter I recently got at a hotel.
It was from the GM and welcomed me to my conference!
Hamiltons gets a BIG + for this

A view of my “tent” from across the Nwatswitsonto River.
All the tents are identical, however the view of the river differs.
For the “best” view, ask for number 1 or 2.

As there is no cell signal or Internet in the camp,
I was able to relax and enjoy the “small stuff”.
Like this leaf balanced on the edge of the infinity pond.

This sausage tree is situated on the main deck.
To the best of my knowledge, no guests have ever been hit by falling fruit.

The tents are all linked by raised walk-ways.
It is not unusual to find several species of antelope walking underneath.
Not to mention the baboons and vervet monkeys

TOO cold to try this on this trip.
I settled for the indoor bath instead.

This young vervet monkey was eyeing my lunch.
Luckily my door was closed…

THIS is one reason that I love Africa.

I found this on my bed when returning from dinner.

It is attention to detail like this that transports guests to Hamiltons Tented Camp
back 100 years to a time when the pace of life was not so hectic

Set up to make you feel that you are in the lounge of a house.

The canvas sides can be closed in case of inclement weather

Ronnie entertains the guests with jokes and stories.

If you did not see an elephant on your game drive…
You will find one on the table.
