Santorini comes into view…
We had to take a tender from the ship to the small harbour
Celebrity Reflection at anchor
The buildings are built into the hillside
One way to get to the top of the hill
Waiting for riders…
The donkeys have right of way.
The pathway has a rather pungent smell of “donkey”…
We decided to use the cable-way to get up and down…
The town clings to the hillside.
My wife first visited Santorini twenty five years ago
and she found the “modern” town a disappointment as it has lost its charm
One of the few original artworks
Most that we found were either replicas or mass produced
The only purchase made…
A fridge magnet in the shape of a donkey
Seems that there are a large amount of Scottish visitors to the island
One of the many donkey handlers…
Homeward bound
The view over the bay with Celebrity Refection in the foreground
Kwand-hare enjoying the view form a cafe in Santorini
We head back to our floating home.
We say goodbye to Santorini as we head off for another day at sea.
I do hope that the weather holds…
We always use Leon as he is always early and a pleasure to deal with.
