An overview of our Celebrity Reflection cruise. Part 1

565

At Dubai Airport.
I had been let to believe that it was “special”…
I did not think so.
Our flight with Emirates.
In a Boeing 777-300ER
Probably one of my most comfortable flights
The view form our hotel room in Rome.
The Rex might not look like much, but it offers good value for money
We had an economy room…so hence the view(possibly)
but it was only for one night and we did a lot of walking,
meaning that looking out of a window was not a requirement when booking

Rome…

Rome train station.
Clean and very well run.
If only we had the same service levels!

Our “home” for the next 11 days

And our stateroom.
HUGE and comfortable

We say goodbye to the port of Civitavecchia

Sunset…

Celebrity Reflection has actual lawn on the top deck!

Breakfast of champions?
I would not know as I did not sample them

Making certain that I know where to head in case of an emergency

On board you do this often…
It becomes a habit VERY quickly

Our Captain greets the guests

The only way to get to Santorini is via a tender.
The harbour is too small for large cruise ships to dock

My new favourite town…Istanbul

This is an “outdoor” shower attached to one of the suites.
It can be made opaque at the touch of a button.

Looking back at the bridge as we sail out of Istanbul.
This is the view from the helipad

Bringing the red carpet to the ship in Kusadasi, Turkey

Our first sunrise at sea…
