The siege of Ladysmith? Not quite! Our stay at the Augustine Ave B&B

466

Day 3 dawned VERY cold.
The sky was stunning as I headed out for my run…
12kms along the R103 and a couple of NASTY hills
to keep me in shape to eat “holiday” food
A frosty ride…
The Lions River that runs past the Ardmore pottery galley

A happy Rhino?
I am not certain, but it does have both horns.

Ardmore pottery is VERY quirky…and pricey.
But it is collectible and will continue to increase in value

Our “home” for tonight…
Augustine Ave B&B in Ladysmith
Our hosts, the affable Nicky and Christo

And “Kat”…

Yes it looked welcoming but it was COLD!

The quirky but welcoming Garage Bar.

All sorts of interesting items to browse through

The breakfast room in the main house

And even a gym!

The seating area outside our room

A comfy bed with pillows that are in the running for my
Best Pillow Award…
Well done, I am NOT easy to please when it comes to pillows

A proper desk with plenty of electrical outlets.
I am writing this posting seated here.
And the B&B has fast Wi-Fi

A VERY large bathroom with both a bath AND a shower.
I will be spoiled for choice in the morning

There are two self catering cottages on the property

Situated away from the main house,
they are spacious and well appointed

The garden is a riot of colour and verdant trees.

and in the distance…The Drakensberg.
