My Gnome finds a (g)name at (g)Nottens Bush Camp, Sabi Sands

1478

After a plethora of REALLY bad suggestions,
I have decided to name the Gnome Gene…
Gene Gnome…
Genome…
Get it?

Some of the decor in the main lounge/bar area…

Out on the morning drive we found these two…
would they still be called a “Dazzle”?
If not, how many individuals constitutes that collective noun?

Part of a troop of Chacma Baboons on morning food patrol

A pair of Dung Beetles…
the male doing all the work and the female hanging on…

This is a Yellow-throated Lizard

Jeff holding a Hinge back tortoise…
carefully…
so that it does not urinate on him!

We found a group of Dwarf Mongoose hiding in a dead tree…
They are rather inquisitive and were as interested in us as we were in them

This lion decided that sleeping was more important than investigating if  we were edible

This boy was making things hard for mom…

And then his brother joined in…

Mom was NOT happy…

But the cubs persevered and eventually were able to suckle

Still not happy…

If mom can do it, so can I.

BREAKFAST!

“AAAARGH, I can growl in Pirate”!

“Look into my eyes”…

We found the “Warthog Wallow” female on a hunt…
Unsuccessfully I might add.

We were more successful in hunting down breakfast back in camp.
What will the next game drive hold?
We wait with baited breath…
