Our group lands at the airstrip near Machaba Camp.
The flight from Maun takes about 40 minutes, depending on the weather.
Situated in the Khwai area, this was to be our “home” for the next four days.
BUT, most importantly we had to come to see Leopards!
The leader of our “expedition” was Guy Ellis,
founder of the Leopard Identification Project.
Much thought has been given to the interior design…
The “bathroom” consists of  a toilet as well as an indoor and outdoor shower.
But THIS is what we had come for…
Luckily, in this case, not falling out of the tree…
Checking for tracks in the early morning light…
And when we were not looking for Leopards,
we were trying to escape the intense heat with cold drinks
and LOTS of water.
