“Pangolin Photo Safaris”….
Not a single one has been spotted during my stay…
And I don’t count the metal and wooden ones in the house that I am staying in!
Plenty of bird life to make up for the lack of that critter…
This is a Grey Heron…
One of the South African bird species that has not had a name change.
With all the marsh land along the river banks,
Having splayed feet helps…
This is a Long-toed Lapwing (Plover).
And yes, this family( Vanellus) did have it’s name changed.
We were able to get REALLY close to this Nile crocodile.
Although it hissed at us, it chose to swim off rather than leap into our boat.
Unlike some of the other Kingfisher species that often play hard-to-find,
This particular Kingfisher species seems to like posing.
Once again, thanks to Grant Atkinson for helping helping me “up-my-game”
