Bit of this and that from my Chobe adventure

2083

My take on Kasane…
There were at least three car wash operations within less than 1 km of each other.
Seems to be an African “thing”,
as I have found the same in other countries I have traveled to

This sign lies…
We tried to fill the Unimog at about 6am
and they told us that they were closed while they checked the levels in the tanks.

This Landie belongs to Guts Swanepoel from Pangolin Photo Safaris.
Believe it or not…
it has done 1.3m km!
And still going strong…

I don’t believe that this Elephant has done that sort of mileage,
but it is just as impressive…

Is it the full moon,,,on drugs?
Is is a modern art work?
Care to take a guess at what it actually is?
Not really…
Well I will tell you…
It is the dining room light fitting at Guts’s house…

Early morning on the Chobe River.
Just another day at the office for me…
PS: Do not try this at home…if you keep a Nile Crocodile in your pool.
No Crocs were hurt (or worn) during the writing of this posting…

Going to Chobe and not seeing Ellies is almost impossible

From the patio at the Pangolin house

At the entrance to the Chobe National Park…
First question: Why at the entrance to the park.
Next question: Why is it empty…

A Baobab…for my wife!

I stayed at Pangolin Photo Safari house
with Guts Swanepoel and Grant Atkinson

At least there was colour…

Not currently blooming in our garden back in Johannesburg

Our breakfast area…

More colour…

Making a plan…
The flushing mechanism was broken,
A “D” shackle and zip ties will do just as well…

Need to stop your shower curtain blowing…
BIG nuts and bolts will sort that out!

A comfy bed…most welcome after a hard day of eating and taking pictures

And one last elephant image…
