I used this Canon PowerShot G15 to capture these images.
A stunning all round “compact” camera that works well in all lighting conditions.
Before leaving the Maropeng Hotel,
this was on my breakfast menu…
French toast and…
pancake with bacon and syrup…
Supposedly a Canadian breakfast.
Going, going, gone!
Maropeng spokeshominid,Harry greeted us at the entrance.
He has his own Facebook page!
www.facebook.com/harry.hominid
But Facebook is SO last Millennium that he also has a Twitter account…
@harryhominidÂ
I did ask for an interview for an interview,
but he declined.
However, he did give me this map so that I could
enjoy all that Maropeng had to offer
This ride takes you through the four elements that “helped” the formation of our planet.
Wind, fire, water and ice…
And no, they were NOT the ’80’s rock band!
The walkway is static and the walls of the tunnel revolve.
Scary, weird and cool all at the same time…
I am not certain if this was an ESKOM diorama in the making…
or just a warning so that visitors do not fall over the floor socket
This had to be removed for repair…
