Lion Sands, Kruger National Park

2532

This Lodge used to be called Tinga,
It is now called Lion Sands, Kruger National Park.
The other Lodge on the property used to be called Legends, will now be called Tinga.
All very confusing during the transition phase.
Some images from our recent stay there.

This fellow crossed the river in front of the lodge deck.

An African fish Eagle in nest making mode.

A White-fronted Bee Eater.

A great spot to have a meal or read a book…
or do nothing at all!
The evening sky

A young giraffe heads off after mom

Rhino watching while on foot…
A whole different experience

A young male Kudu

Sunset over the Sabi River

The decor in the lodge lounge

Less is more when it comes to the decor.

OOPS…
This little fellow slipped when climbing onto the road.

An African sunset

Because it was a cool overcast morning,
we found this hippo out browsing

“This is my Hollywood look”…

“ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME?”

A juvenile Brown Snake Eagle…
getting rid of some of its meal.

This is what it was eating.
These are the remains of a very large Puff Adder.
Our tracker, Emmanuel, does not look happy holding it.

Bye for now…
Hope to see you again!M-271-3[1]-2.jpg
