Up and away to Kruger National Park. With Federal Air of course!

This is certainly NOT how we are going to travel.
But if you are a tour group and need to get to the Federal Air departure/arrival lounge
then this is how your luggage will  get there.

They have the best snacks…
and they are constantly replenished

This was to be our first destination…
Part of the More Hotels group it was going to be “home” for two nights

A table lamp in the departure loung caught my eye.

A boarding pass is compulsory,
a ticket is not required.

Our transport awaits…

Our next trip will be in a big plane…

I am still trying to figure out whay someone would take a chainsaw on a flight.

There is free, secure on site parking available.
Saves a lot in parking fees.
Sean doing a pre-flight briefing!

The only time you want to see the airspeed reading at 0
is before you take off.

Usually the Federal Air flights I am on turn right and go to Madikwe game reserve.
This time we turned left…

We start our take off…

Not too high above Germiston?

Flyover from the air.
The flight to KNP takes about an hour…
Drive time, around 7 hours.

In flight snacks…
and you can help yourself!

High over South Africa…

Skukuza Airstrip comes into view…
Once on the ground we will be off to Lion Sands in Sabi Sands…
A quick turn around and Sean is on his return journey to Johannesburg.
See you on Friday!
