My accommodation at Lelapa Lodge.

2085

Leaving the decor of the public space behind I headed for my accommodation…
What is behind the hand-beaten copper door?

A welcome chalkboard!

This is the current decor in the room I stayed in…

Bright colours and perhaps a little “dated”?

The rooms are currently undergoing a make-over
And THIS is what they will all look like when the all work is complete

Great bath products

A spacious outdoor shower.
An interesting feature is the fact that the taps are on the outside wall.
This means that you can adjust the water temperature without getting scalded or freezing

The view from the shower.

the deck…

with a plunge pool.

These are the old chairs…
The newly covered chairs

I always travel with my own pillow,
but at Lelapa I found that the supplied pillows stood up to my exacting standards!

A seating area should you want to read or relax indoors
or curl up in front of a fire on a cold day.

Perhaps do some exercise?

Or just chill in your gown while you enjoy a massage

Old  bathroom…

New bathroom!

Madikwe Game Reserve is Malaria free!
Great news, especially for families with children.

This property was recently acquired by the More Group and is currently undergoing an extensive makeover.
That being said, the work is being carried out with minimal interruption to the daily guest activities.
Congratulations to Jeremy Clayton(GM) and his staff on a job well done.
