From the other side of the curtain

All too soon it is time to head back to the airport.
Sunrise on my final day

And a surprise awaited me…I was directed to the  business class check in!
My thanks to Air Mauritius for allowing me to experience a flight “from the other side of the curtain”
Many thanks to Laurent from SummerTimes for his help.

My wife would have loved to be here with me…
She sees ” LESS any %” and she wants to have a look!
Discounts varied  20- 50% depending what you were looking for.

Luckily for me, my upgraded boarding pass allowed me to leave this behind and head…

Through these doors to the Business Class lounges.

and this is what I found…

When I arrived, it was empty, but it did fill up as there were three flights waiting to board

This cleaner must have an impossible task…

Goodbye to Mauritius

Plenty of leg room…

Looking back…

This was the first difference for those seated in the orange chairs.

Once service begins, THAT curtain gets closed…
and this is why…

A proper continental breakfast,
followed by…

a piping hot breakfast…

Mid flight snacks

If I had flown to Mauritius in business class would I have requested a “down grade”
so that I could experience Economy Class?

My arrival back at ORT…
I wonder why this scanner is not used at any other airport I have flown into/out of…
Aside from having to wait for almost thirty minutes for my luggage,
the actual flight went off without a hitch.
Once again, my thanks to Air Mauritius for the upgrade.
This airline offers 10 daily and 3 night flights a week from Johannesburg
There are 3 direct return flights a week from Cape Town
