Spider, man…

1637

This is an image that often strikes fear  into the hearts of the strongest men(and women)!
I found these two outside our front door…

Time to take out the macro lens and capture some images

I believe that this to be a rain spider, but I might be wrong…

We have some Peacock feathers next to the door…

and it was using them as a “stairway”…

Or, riding them like a wave…

DUMPED!

Then, just like the nursery rhyme…

“Along came another spider”…

“And sat down beside me” …

but instead of running I stayed.

Does the red “hourglass” on the abdomen mean that this is a Black  Widow?
No, it does not, but it is from the same family…
This is a Brown Button Spider

ESKOM(our national electricity supply utility) turned the power off…
planned maintenance they call it…

I continued using two torches, instead of a flash.

These are those images…

Although rarely fatal the bite of this spider are incredibly painful
and medical attention is recommended.
