January in our garden.

1533

While filling our Koi pond, I decided to take a walk around our garden

Most of these plants are nameless,
only because I have no idea what they are…

but they look good!
I am told, on good authority, that this is an Onion Weed…

This I know is lavender…

and this is a Geranium…

a rose…by any other name…

would still be a Rose and not an Agapanthus.

I see that this posting is bee compliant.
Many thanks to my expert for her help…
This is an Inca Lily

pretty flowers all in a row…
this is a Bulbinella I am told…
From two separate sources

And this is a fuchsia

These might be Violas

Still uncertain about this.

from plants to wildlife…

Can you spot the Koi?

Now you can…

One of our cats followed me into the garden.
perhaps he had these in mind as a meal?
They used to be called Rameron Pigeons…

Not that she cares what they are called…
She decided that it was too hot to venture outside.

They are now called the African Olive-Pigeon
Water, water everywhere?
No, Johannesburg is in the grip of a heatwave currently.
Wear a hat and don’t forget the sunscreen if you are venturing outdoors.
