Situated in Madikwe game reserve,
this spectacular lodge deserved this award for many reasons…

A view of the accommodation from the deck of the main building

Jamala also won the
“Cleanest game drive vehicle” award.

Bush breakfast with a difference…
and yes, you can eat off the running board!

Weavers greet you at the entrance.

and a special message in the dressing room of our villa.

Who needs to get out of bed…

One of the many seating areas in the main building.

This is part of what makes Jamala special…
real butter with a “proper” butter knife

Interior of the main building…

Believe it or not, these are pre game drive snacks.

The wildlife will come to you if you don’t feel like going on  a game drive.
There is a water hole in front of the main deck

I even witnessed a kill inside the camp!
Some of the visitors to the waterhole:
Impala

Blue Wildebeest

Warthog…

Zebra

Even at night we were able to find game in the darkness…

This herd arrived as we were leaving…
Needless to say our departure was delayed.
Many thanks to Rodney and his staff for stunning service
and a very special time that we will remember foreveR
