Today is Freedom day here in South Africa.On this day(27/04/94) our country took its first steps into democracy…and 18 years later we are still striving to achieve a “Rainbow Nation”.Only problem with a rainbow is that all the colours are separate even though they are next to each other…
That being said, these images have nothing to do with democracy and everything to do with the freedom I have to participate in one of my passions, taking images.

Although these images give the impression that they are from the Lomography school of photography,they were all taken on a Pentax K5 using a 70-300mm Sigma lens.
Lomography sort of picks up the baton where the iconic “Kodak moment” left off.Their cameras are generally low-fidelity and inexpensive.Taking advantage of poor build and lens quality, they compensated by adding many lenses as well as colour flashes to come up with a unique and exciting look.
The images were given the “Lomo-ish” effect using a Google product called Picasa.
