Life’s a beach…

What is it that causes people to flock to Indian Ocean destinations for holidays?

Might it be the fact that the water is almost bath temperature?

Could it be the opportunity to catch up on ‘that’ book you have been meaning to finish?

Or perhaps to work in more relaxed surroundings.

Yet some guests are keen to keep contact with the ‘outside’ world…

Comfortable though our lodge was, a walk along the beach is often cathartic, even with the wind blowing hats off constantly!

I am uncertain if this fellow was trying to get his craft onto the beach or out to sea…

The encrusted algae and barnacles make this piece of driftwood seem that it has been painted.

The only sea food that did not make it onto dinner plates…

I am not sure what this local was thinking when he read the name of this fishing boat…

Now you can see why he might be confused…

Back to the cool interior of the lodge building to get out of the approaching midday sun…and of course to await lunch…

And then, NAP TIME…
