We found a variety of different birds at the lakes we visited,like this White-breasted Cormorant
This is a Black -Winged Stilt…
At the centre of this image is a Yellow billed stork.
This Grey Heron seems to be rattled by the Black-Winged Stilt encroaching on it’s space…
I also spotted this Tawny Eagle perched close to one of the lakes.
We disturbed this flock of Greater Flamingoes and caused them to take to the air.
Up, up and away…
I thought that I was going to lose them, but…
They landed not too far from where we had disturbed them…
We decided to trek back to our vehicle and leave the swamps to the receding tide.
