Our final day in the bush…we decided to skip the early morning game drive and go for a guided walk instead…
We started from this Fever Tree and headed off road to see what we could find
The object of the walk was not to find big game, but to see what is usually missed from the seat of a vehicle…
Been there, dung that…Elephant tracks and a pile of recently deposited dung indicated that a large bull had been walking down this path a few hours earlier…
We almost stumbled into this group of Buffalo, but we spotted them timeously and Anton, our ranger, took us in wide circle around them…
This one kept an eye on us as we passed them at a safe distance…
This Zebra stallion made sure that his herd was safe before snorting his annoyance at us and followed the herd into a thicket…
Unfortunately for us, this group of Giraffe was moving away from us,but we were able to watch them for a while…
Sunlight on a spiderweb in a disused burrow…
Just before reaching the camp entrance we chanced upon these female Waterbuck…
This is as close as I got to seeing a Pangolin. I am beginning to think that this little creature might be the modern version of a Unicorn!
Just before we entered camp we almost walked into a small group of Buffalo…no time to take pictures…but it did necessitate a visit here once we returned for breakfast! ( the bucket and mop were there before I went in!)
Many thanks to Anton for making the walk so interesting…
