Kwandwe Private Game Reserve
Situated about 160kms from Port Elizabeth, this “Big 5” malaria free reserve has it all…

Aside from Lion and Leopard, Kwandwe also has several groups of Cheetah which gives the reserve it’s edge…

As we were there in winter several of the usually nocturnal species were spotted during the day…this sighting of an Aardwolf was a first for me

Another first was this Bat-eared fox that was part of a group of four that scattered as our vehicle approached…this fellow was inquisitive, and ignoring the Baboon, stopped to watch us watching him(or her)…

Our last drive produced this happy Black backed Jackal…why happy?

Because he had been feeding on the carcass of this young Wildebeest
that had either been killed by a pride of lions,or

this female Cheetah who, together with her two cubs, was lying not too far from the kill
