Our trip started off with a mini adventure…we could book onto the flight but the computer would not accept our luggage! Then it would not give Caro and I seats next to each other for the onward leg from KLIA to Vietnam…
Enter Mario, who was able to save the day and give us the seats I requested…well not actually as I wanted business class, but I tried.
The flight was reasonably empty but the ‘free’ seats were quickly grabbed by travellers who wanted to stretch out…I did manage to get a few hours of sleep…
After all the articles about DVT I decided to try compression socks…not sure if they did any good, but I did manage to wear them for all but the last hour.I found them very uncomfortable, but I suppose a necessary evil
No ‘slippers’ supplied, hence the ones with SAA logo!
The cabin staff were great but only two meals in 9 hours…even I looked forward to the breakfast(chicken with noodles). The first of many noodle dishes I am sure
KLIA is a beautiful and vast complex…luckily not many of the shops were open…we will save that for our return leg when we have to spend 5 hours here! This time it was only 3…
To get from the building we arrived in to the building we were leaving from, there is a sort of internal Gautrain…very clean and it runs every 2.5 minutes…
Now we await our connecting flight to Vietnam…the adventure is about to begin
