Food, interesting food...
The Boulevard,lunch on day 2

This is one place we did NOT support…and as an interesting aside, there is NO MacDonalds in Saigon…

Our first dinner was at “Lau Dai”. Although the décor was sparse, the food was delicious

Soup to start…

Followed by sea bass, which we thought was the main course…turned out NOT to be the case…

Beef followed that was so delicious that I only realised after I had eaten it all that I had not taken a photograph…hence the empty plate!

Dessert was this wonderful fried banana…together with some awesome Vietnamese coffee…

We ate lunch at this establishment…more Vietnamese than Western, but still I believe not really traditional local food…but we still have many meals to eat…

This is Dragon fruit that we ate as a dessert as well as at breakfast. It looks beautiful and tastes a bit like a watermelon(admit it, you thought I was going to say it tasted like chicken)

We had our first ‘real’ Vietnamese meal in the Mekong Delta…Elephant fish!
